As you’ll know from our blog earlier in the week, it’s i-D’s 35th Birthday and it’s being celebrated by 11 of their favourite designers and some of ours too.
To recognise our excitement, here’s a quick lowdown on our three favourite wraps marking the occasion:
Raf Simmons for Dior
What we love about this cover is its DIY aesthetic, subtly nodding towards i-D’s punk zine roots. After all where would i-D be without the non-conformists!?
Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy
Riccardo’s design takes an unusual slant on the current style of i-D covers, merging high-end photography with a weird and wonderful cut and paste style, reminiscent of artists such as Linder Sterling: another loyal friend of i-D magazine.
We make no secret of being huge fan’s of Vivienne, she’s a force to be reckoned with and as usual her work speaks volumes. As the founder of the revolution that i-D formed its roots upon, it would be downright rude not to include her in our top three!
